Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her work in film and television in the latter half of the 1980s. She attended Yale University New Haven Connecticut receiving a bachelor's degree (1980) in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. She met Courtney B. Vance, a fellow actress at Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American studies) in 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School.
