Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her work in film and television in the latter half of the 1980s. She has received various accolades like two Golden Globe Awards as well as 16 NAACP Image Awards. Angela Evelyn is an American actress. Bassett was raised in New York New York and fostered by an aunt living in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett's mother had split from her father when she was approximately five. She and her younger sister later moved to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett when she was in high school watched John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she decided to become an actress. She attended Yale University New Haven Connecticut receiving a bachelor's degree (1980) in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. She met Courtney B. Vance, a fellow actress at Yale and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American studies) in 1980. An M.A. in Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett plays Ramonda as one of the major parts in the action film i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
